Deposit Insurance Recordkeeping (Part 370) — impact tolerance ≤ 24 hours (post-failure) — ITOL

Impact tolerance: ≤ 24 hours (post-failure) — any Part 370 covered institution unable to produce compliant deposit files or apply holds within statutory timing on demand (illustrative default — trace the derivation, then replace with your own harm analysis)

Definition: Maintain the deposit-account records, IT capability, and provisional-hold functionality required to compute FDIC insurance coverage within 24 hours of failure.

Why it is designated: Large insured institutions must be able to calculate insured/uninsured amounts and apply provisional holds within 24 hours of failure (12 CFR 370). Losing this capability is a strict compliance failure. It also impairs resolvability — a Category III supervisory focus area.
